Another Shitty Day in Paradise

Many years ago, when I was in the throes of a very emotional personal upheaval, I just wanted to get away from all of the sources of unrest in my life; my failing marriage, my job and my own self loathing. I discussed  my concerns with a friend over a few beers and told him I thought I needed to get away to a lonely, tropical island for a time. He listened thoughtfully, then became quiet for a minute before answering in his rather nonchalant, taciturn way, immediately shocking my raging mind back to reality. He said, “You know they have huge F*#%in’ snakes on those islands!!”

“Another Shitty Day” was constructed using a vintage posable art model, an old souvenir wood snake, found driftwood and a vintage wood frame.
