“Skull and Sprocket”

This steer skull has literally been hanging from my studio ceiling for over a decade, it’s bleached  white cranium screaming for a makeover that would bring it back to life! After some internal modification, I decided not only to give the skull a new colorful aesthetic, but to bestow this useless relic with a new purpose in life, so to speak, in a flashy, polychromatic rebirth! 

“Skull and Sprocket”  is not only a sustainable assemblage sculpture, it is also a fully programmable nightlight/mood lamp! It is constructed of a vintage steer skull mounted on an antique  motorcycle sprocket base. The piece was wired with all new lamp components and fitted with a programmable bulb that has multiple color and dynamic settings.
