It is believed that there are approximately 500,000 homeless in America. 40,000 of that number are Veterans who once stood tall for our country but now have become camouflaged, almost unseen by our nation.

Ironically, the survival skills and the resilience and determination they developed in the military may help them endure on the streets, but they may also become an obstacle to overcoming the challenges in assisting them out of their housing insecurity.

The major components of “Camouflaged” are a novelty shopping cart, long hand-carved boot jack and an antique fishing float. The face and shroud were created with wet molded leather and a miniature bucket and pot were made from brass bullet casings.
